I qualified as a vet from Dublin in 1994 and have been a full time farm vet since 1997.
Together with Alistair we established Macpherson O’Sullivan Farm Vets in 2003 to better serve Shropshire farmers, with a specialist farm veterinary service.
This has since progressed into Shropshire Farm Vets.
As a practice we have always tried to educate and inform our clients as much as possible and I am one of several Lantra accredited trainers in the practice.
I organise and run DIY AI training, calf health training and dairy cow nutrition training days on a regular basis.

Graduated Ghent, Belgium 1996. I worked in mixed practices in Four Crosses, Carmarthen and Montgomery before seeing the light in 2004 and focusing on farm animals only.
My interests are Bovine surgery and cattle lameness. I get a lot of satisfaction out of making lame cows better and training clients the correct 5 step foot trim. As a practice we regularly organise foot trimming courses and provide training days.
Recently I became a Mobility Mentor with DairyCo. I’m also passionate about fertility and preventative medicine in sheep.

I graduated from Bristol in 2006 and spent a year in mixed practice in rural Berkshire. During this time, I decided to pursue a career in a farm animal veterinary practice, and joined the team at Mac&O in 2007 which became Shropshire Farm Vets in 2012.
Improving animal health and welfare, whilst enhancing overall farm profitability through good health and fertility management are aspects of my job which I enjoy most.
I undertook a Diploma in Bovine Reproduction at Liverpool University in 2010. This enabled me to develop specialist interests and skills in optimising dairy and beef production systems

I qualified from Glasgow Vet School in 1989 and after working for ten years in England and three years in New Zealand I settled in Shropshire in 2002 working for Abbey Vet Centre before starting Macpherson O’Sullivan LLP with Tim in 2003.
This has progressed on to Shropshire Farm Vets Ltd of which I am now Managing Director.
I am married to Jane and have two children, George and Isla. When I get some time, on a clear night I can be found in a roofless shed with a couple of telescopes taking pictures of galaxies/nebulae.
Otherwise I am known to chase deer in Scotland and take the odd photograph.

Not long after, I did a couple internships in farm veterinary practices in the UK. A few years later I have also studied in Germany for a semester where I saw practice in the farm animal ambulatory clinic in the University of Hannover.

I was privileged to become part of Shropshire Farm Vets in October 2021. I have had many roles in the animal sector and have spent the last 8 years working for pets at home most recently as a deputy manager. Growing up around livestock gave me a deep interest for their health and welfare and I am very excited to be back out and about working with them on behalf of Shropshire Farm Vets.
When not working you will find me looking after my own livestock which includes commercial and rare breed sheep, chickens, pigs and horses. I also have a real passion for training and working sheepdogs including my own sheepdog Mel.
