I qualified from Glasgow Vet School in 1989 and after working for ten years in England and three years in New Zealand I settled in Shropshire in 2002 working for Abbey Vet Centre before starting Macpherson O’Sullivan LLP with Tim in 2003. This has progressed on to Shropshire Farm Vets Ltd of which I am now Managing Director. I am married to Jane and have two children, George and Isla. When I get some time, on a clear night I can be found in a roofless shed with a couple of telescopes taking pictures of galaxies/nebulae. Otherwise I am known to chase deer in Scotland and take the odd photograph.

I qualified as a vet from Dublin in 1994 and have been a full time farm vet since 1997. Together with Alistair we established Macpherson O’Sullivan Farm Vets in 2003 to better serve Shropshire farmers, with a specialist farm veterinary service. This has since progressed into Shropshire Farm Vets. As a practice we have always tried to educate and inform our clients as much as possible and I am one of several Lantra accredited trainers in the practice. I organise and run DIY AI training, calf health training and dairy cow nutrition training days on a regular basis.

Graduated Ghent, Belgium 1996. I worked in mixed practices in Four Crosses, Carmarthen and Montgomery before seeing the light in 2004 and focusing on farm animals only. My interests are Bovine surgery and cattle lameness. I get a lot of satisfaction out of making lame cows better and training clients the correct 5 step foot trim. As a practice we regularly organise foot trimming courses and provide training days. Recently I became a Mobility Mentor with DairyCo. I’m also passionate about fertility and preventative medicine in sheep.

I graduated from Bristol in 2006 and spent a year in mixed practice in rural Berkshire. During this time, I decided to pursue a career in a farm animal veterinary practice, and joined the team at Mac&O in 2007 which has now progressed to Shropshire Farm Vets. Improving animal health and welfare, whilst enhancing overall farm profitability through good health and fertility management are aspects of my job which I enjoy most. I have recently gained a Diploma in bovine reproduction.

I graduated as a vet from the University of Zaragoza, Spain in 2008, then obtained a Master in Clinical Ethology from the University of Barcelona in 2013, thus deepening my interest in animal welfare and animal behaviour. Having worked in predominantly small animal practice for 10 years, I decided to make a change in my professional career and come to the UK to work with farm animals as a TB testing vet. When I had the opportunity to join Shropshire Farm Vets, I didn’t hesitate. In my spare time I enjoy swimming, practicing sports outdoors and volunteering with people or animals.

I graduated as a vet from Timisoara in 2019, moved to the UK in June 2020 and became a member of the Shropshire Farm Vets family in December 2020. I’ve always had a special interest in farm animals since childhood and it was my favourite part during college. I love studying microorganisms, my favourite discipline in college was infectious diseases. My thesis focussed on bovine tuberculosis and bluetongue disease in cattle. Shropshire Farm Vets is a great opportunity for me to continue studying and fighting against bovine tuberculosis through the epidemiological situation in the UK. I am also interested in philosophy, psychology and reading about the religious traditions from different parts of the world. I love to go bike riding, take a walk in nature, see a beautiful painting or eat Indian food!

I was born and bred in Shropshire on a mixed dairy arable family farm, which I managed alongside my father until recently. I am incredibly passionate about farming and animals; I love and enjoy all things countryside related. In my younger days I was a keen young farmer in Much Wenlock YFC. I enjoy skiing, evenings out eating with friends and love exploring the countryside with my partner and her spaniel dog. I am looking forward to becoming part of the Shropshire Farm Vets team.

I joined Shropshire Farm Vets in July 2021 to train as an ATT. After taking a break from my agricultural career to have a family, this feels like landing my dream job. I’m not from a farming background, but I studied agriculture at Reaseheath College, where I received an award for academic excellence and I have many years experience working on dairy farms. I love being outdoors and around cows – even in winter!
Outside of work I am a busy mum of 3 and a competitive powerlifter, currently training for a regional qualifying competition, and I hope to make it to British finals. I am excited about building my career with the Shropshire Farm Vets team.

I graduated from Harper Adams in 2019 with a degree in food and consumer studies. After 18 months working for a large snack company, I felt I wanted to get back to my roots of countryside life and working. I am excited to start as an ATT with Shropshire Farm Vets, combining an early interest in TB and a future career. I have a little patterdale terrier called Theo, so when I’m not working, I’m often out with him. In my spare time you will also find me shooting, walking or photographing.
