Following graduation from Staffordshire University I spent a number of years working in education welfare before joining the team at Macpherson O’Sullivan in January 2009 which has since progressed into Shropshire Farm Vets. My main focus and passion is the operational side of the business, HR, managing, developing systems and looking for solutions to meet changing business needs. Outside of work I’m a full-time mum and taxi service to my two daughters, supporting them in their dramatic ambitions.
Siobhan Harrington-Hayes – Business Administrator
I moved to Shropshire and joined Shropshire Farm Vets in June 2017. I have a range of experience in reception, customer service and stock specialist roles. These skills have come in handy when helping to cover on Reception and Pharmacy. My main role is business admin which includes health and safety, fleet coordination, stock ordering, course organisation along with many other tasks. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my partner, cat and rescue hens plus dedicating a bit of time each weekend to volunteering at a cat and dog rescue.
Hannah Speake – Clinical Receptionist
I joined Shropshire Farm Vets in January 2018. Over the past five years working in reception and administration based roles I have developed a wide range of knowledge that helps with my main responsibilities within the practice of diary management and communication with clients. Outside of work you can find me exploring the countryside with my 4 dogs.
Vicky Titley – Pharmacy/Deliveries Receptionist
I joined Shropshire farm vets in August 2018. I come from an agricultural background and I went to Walford college in 2008 gaining an NDA. I then went on to manage different types of poultry sites for several years, and I also have experience in dairy. In my spare time I like to play netball, ride my horses, walk my pug and, take care of my small flock pedigree Kerry hill sheep. My main responsibilities at the practice are dispensary tasks and monitoring stocks.
Heather Mauchlen – Receptionist
I have lived in Shrewsbury for the majority of my life, originally being born in South Africa. After finishing college I went down the apprenticeship route to gain qualifications whilst working, getting me to where I am today – Shropshire Farm Vets. In my previous job I gained experience in providing exceptional customer service, which I look forward to applying in my new role as receptionist. I fill my spare time at the gym, walking my dog and exploring Wales with my other half. (As well as enjoying dining out most weekends!) I also have a deep love for cars and travelling.
Charlotte Evans BA (Hons) – Pharmacy Receptionist
I’ve worked at Shropshire Farm Vets sporadically over the course of the past 4 years leaving in 2016 to take the opportunity to attend University. Living and studying in Leeds, I was able to pursue my love for the arts and I’m now the very proud owner of a BA (Hons) Fine Art degree! I have experience in a number of customer service based roles and on my return to the Vets I will now predominately be carrying out dispensary-related tasks. In my spare time I like to be outside riding or competing my horse, as well as drawing pet-portrait commissions to keep building on my portfolio.
Laraine Adams – TB Testing Receptionist
Born and bred in Shropshire, I spent a number of years living and working on the Isle of Eigg off the west coast of Scotland running my own outdoor adventure business. Following my return to Shropshire, I’m delighted to have joined Shropshire Farm Vets where I can use my customer service skills in my role as receptionist. Outside work, I’m a keen trail runner and love exploring the Shropshire hills.
Karen Hopkins – Pharmacy Receptionist
I grew up on a farm in Shropshire and have always loved the Countryside. I joined the practice in November 2019 working as a pharmacy receptionist which is a career change for me but an exciting new challenge. When I’m not in work I can be found spending time with my husband and two children.
