Office hours are Monday to Friday 8.15am – 5.00pm.
At all times, please phone 01743 860920.
Calls outside of office hours will automatically be diverted to the vet on-call who will arrange to see your animal on-farm.
Our charging structure normally includes a callout fee and an hourly rate for vets’ time though some jobs have set or minimum fee, for example most operations plus any medicines used at the time. The majority of fees are reviewed in January and occasionally mid-year based on external economic factors.
Please discuss your specific payment terms with the office.
All medicines must be pre-authorised by a veterinary surgeon and therefore should be ordered at least one working day in advance to enable us to meet your requirements and minimise delays prior to collection/delivery. You can order by phone 01743 860920 or email - farm@shropshirefarmvets.com . Once authorised, medicines can be collected from the practice.
We also offer a delivery service for pre-authorised medicines. In order to maintain this service, please place orders in advance so we can make the service as economic and sustainable as possible. Due to the varied nature of the delivery service, we cannot guarantee a delivery time. Any medicines that are urgently required would have to be collected from the practice. We normally take a picture as proof of delivery.
In the event that you need medicines out of normal business hours, we will always do our best to accommodate you, but please bear in mind that the vet is on call and will always prioritise urgent calls. A visit charge to the office will be made in these circumstances and these medicines are non-discountable.
Clients and visitors to Shropshire Farm Vets Ltd would normally only have access to the reception area, toilet or meeting rooms. All these areas are well lit, are all on ground level and have flat floors. Staff are always available and on hand should any additional support be required.
