Rupert Sheppard BVSc Cert AVP MRCVS

I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2017. I worked initial for a large farm only practice in Carmarthen, South Wales where I undertook a Postgraduate Certificate in farm animal medicine.

For the last 5 years I have worked abroad predominately with large dairies. First in Saudi Arabia, then a season in New Zealand and most recently in Qatar where I managed the vet and herd teams on a 10,000 cow desert dairy. My main clinical interests are in preventing disease and allowing cows to perform through great management. I’m also always keen to talk mastitis control, milk quality and all things parlours.

I’m from a farming family in Chirbury so it’s great to be back in the Shropshire farming community I grew up in. I’ll be hoping to squeeze in the odd game of cricket around raising a young family.
